Lani Cupchoy took a traditional photography class in college and learned about the power of photographic processing that opened up a new world for creative possibilities. She moved from hobby to professional photographer one year after establishing her label – Art by Lani Cupchoy upon discovering the transformational storytelling power of images.

As a multi-ethnic native of Los Angeles, Lani brings a unique sensibility and authenticity to her photographic work. Employing a photojournalistic approach, she began her early work chronicling an insider view of athletes and competitive sports which gained a reputed style in the world of professional body building, martial arts, Jiu-Jitsu, and boxing. Since then, utilizing storytelling photography, she has showcased several solo photographic exhibitions and has been featured in various magazines and print advertisements.
